I have had this chalice for a while now bought as a no name was solid red. I almost lost the piece but it has made a remarkable recovery. Just wondering if anyone knows the name of it

I am sure I will catch grief for this but here it goes....
IMHO names given to corals is nothing more than a selling ploy to make people a lot of money. There are some exceptions to some really exotic stuff but even those will likely color up differently from tank to tank. A good point is your chalice, it was red now it has morphed into something else under your conditions.
Name it what you want but the bottom line is it is still just a chalice, nice one too! :D

I am only asking so I can try to find pictures of a bigger colony so I can determine where I will place this coral in the tank. Value doesn’t matter to me. I agree about some of the named pieces @Reeferdood

Copy that!
Chalice corals prefer lower lighting and mellow flow so place it somewhere that meets that criteria..
Keep in mind they can grow rather large and can sting certain corals too..
