Can anyone ID this coral please?

I bought this coral a few weeks ago. All the guy at the store could tell me is it’s some type of Monti? I think he’s right but I’m not entirely sure so I need help! It seems to be doing great I think, the PE is amazing on it, it wasn’t even close to this at the lfs and it’s sitting in about 350 par right now.

Actually looks like it could be an acro, but if the guy said monti gonna go with a green digi.

Definitely an acropora, not a montipora. Some species of staghorn is my guess.

I’ve gotten several corals from them that were not what I wanted to buy so that’s why I ask your fellow opinions lol

Looked up staghorn acro and I’m not sure that’s it, but you guys seem set it’s an acro, so my next question is it’s sitting at 350 maybe even 400 par. And some pretty high flow. I know high flow is somewhat recommended for acros, but this one seems to be doing fine in par that high. Is that normal?

Staghorn is a common name for multiple species, I'm fairly confident it's one of them. Regardless, it's definitely an acropora. They like alot of light, you're not getting close to "too much" at 350.

With this new found knowledge which I greatly appreciate from ya'll, I assume with the PE like it is and how much has come back from me buying it ( the back side was almost completely white when I bought it) Im assuming it is happy where it is at in my tank? Another thing, I paid $25 USD for it, so im going to assume if anything I didnt get ripped off?

Looks like a Green Millepora to me. Hardy, relatively easy to care of and pretty.

It´s funny... I have been looking to get my hands on a frag of green millepora for ages with no luck and you got one by mistake. Congrats!

Yeah I was wanting to start my journey into SPS with a monti digi, which I thought was a pretty decent starting point. And here we are with a much harder coral, story of my life, but ultimately its my fault for not knowing what I was buying. But it sure is a pretty one and seems to be enjoying the tank so far lol!

Nowadays I read all kind of stuff about how to keep acropora and many will disagree with me and I admit I am an old school boomer but... I don´t feed my corals, I try to keep my parameters very stable (Mg, Ca, Alk and K) also as I do Balling, trace elements are constantly added. I would avoid adding anything other than replenishing the elements your corals consume. Fish poop is still IMO a great food for corals. Strong lighting, strong random flow, parameters stability and low No3/PO4 are key to SPS success IMHO. Please, take a look a the tank in my signature to see how my tank is doing.

I think you are lucky! You are off to a good start! The first of many acropora corals.
