Hi everyone trying to ID this coral?

Yeah, those are Clove polyps. Incredibly fast grower.

How about those one? I’m new to the hobby and got this one at a LFS that does not mark what they are. The girl who assisted me did not know either. Acan maybe?

Yeah, I would say either a scoly or acan.

Hard to say. Can you take a picture with white lights on and a couple of angles? There are several of the fleshy corals like this one that look similar.

Photos don’t do it justice. Bright orange on the outer rim and bright green inside.

This looks like a cynarina to me. Nice specimen! If you don’t mind telling me, how much did you pay? Will give us a clue as to what it is as well!

It was on a one day sale. It was $40. First time I’ve bought a coral and did not know what it was.

I am definitely thinking cynarina. The other thought was an Acantho but I don’t think they would let one go for that much.

I feed it pellets and it will totally close up and be all orange. Then reopen to show the green.

Could be a small Acantho then. I was just looking at my Acantho and it could be. Once it gets used to your system it’ll be easier to tell what it is.

Yeah, I agree that it's an acantho

You may want to isolate the clove polyps to an island of some sort, they will spread and cover the entire structure they are mounted on over time.
