Probably not helpful, but it kind of looks like a freshwater fish, maybe a Pearl Danio or something from that family. Also sort of looks like a sardine?

I agree, but I was hesitant to say that it is a thick lipped grey mullet (Chelon labrosus) or comparable without more information.

Thats a mullet exactly what species I am not sure.

And yes, i really want to know, its grown about 30% in 4 weeks and if its gona be a monster then i need to know sooner rather than later.

Not me but yes, its was, uninformed friend decided it was a good idea

Based on the range it is more like a Golden Grey Mullet (chelon aurata) and the described size is 12" on average and can grow to nearly double that length. I understand that you did not collect it personally, but when collecting fish from the wild it is important to know what you are collecting and keeping not only because you may or may not be able to care for it, but also because it could be an endangered species.

Totally agree, had some harsh words for him but if i didn’t give it a home ..... and i didn’t want that so here i am, i may see if there is an aquarium that can take it in, judging by its speed it doesnt have enough room even now?

It may very well be Chelon auratas as @Peace River stated. Morphology and distribution are consistent.
