Could be but they have a flowery like structure close to a very small zoa that flows with the current and they somewhat glow under antic light?Colonial tunicate.
Not too sure about that tbh, I poked at it a bit and it is very soft and it has no hard skeleton underneath. The moment I poked at it the flower like polyps retreated back into the purple mat.The morphology - encrusting with regular round openings (mouths) with surrounding tentacles seems more consistent with a montipora or a similar family of corals. Pavona or chalice perhaps...
