Noticed this algae growing up in tufts on some live rock and frags about a month ago. Seems to be spreading. Noticed follicles of it in my sand bed. It is finer than what the pictures depict. It almost looks like static grass used in model railroading, i included a picture because to my eyes thats exactly what it looks like in the tank. If anyone knows what it may be, how do I kill it, or what may like to eat it?

Looks like Bryopsis to me. I had it in my tank and a treatment of fluconazol took care of it for me. You can see it in the attached pictures. Looks the same as yours, just not as concentrated.

I looked closely and it doesn't seem to be that to me, bryopsis looks like it has feather type leaves or stalks. Mine are like little tufts of grass with individual stems tightly bunched exactly like the static grass example
