I've had this little fella a while now and just accepted it as a green Maxi Mini.

It is about 3cm (just over an inch) in diameter and was found in a piece of liverock from The Barrier Reef. But as time has gone by I am now left wondering, "what is it?" I know BTA tentacles can change to long and slender ones in the home aquarium, but the tips seem too round to be a BTA (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Maybe Its a Tiny Haddoni or possibly a Gigantea. Let me know what you think

Definitely not a gig or haddoni. Looks like a BTA to me. Take some pics with the blue lights turned off. Tough to tell much with the blues on.

Gotcha, I just have never seen BTA that small with tentacles that are proportional to its size.
Some days where it may have been layed out flat (carpet style) it kinda made me wonder, I haven't ever seen a 'Baby' Haddoni or Gigantea

I did however find A pic online that I edited to give the same blue led look.
Keep in mind this is a true 'Baby' Gigantea.

Kinda looks similar and the one I found on the internet is still much bigger than mine.

Definitely does not look any of the carpet anemones I have. I would say a bta (deflated/retracted tentacles)or a baby gig.

It’s still 100% not a gig or haddoni.

White leds turned up.

Its been in this crevice for the last few weeks, so I'm not sure when I will be able to get a shot of its base/foot.

Any other thoughts?

Looking at the pics I would never have guessed in was smaller than a inch.

What kind of live rock did it come in on??

I doubt it is a common anemone imported like a bubble tip. A BTA would never have that many tentacles at that size.

If I did not know it was smaller than a inch the last few pics I might have said it looks similar to a magnifica even though the first looks like a bta.
I really doubt it is either.

That's why I have a hard time calling it a tiny BTA. I'm not sure what to think anymore. The rock was from somewhere on the reef but was actually taken for the large Acro colony attached to it.
