That's not a spaghetti worm. It looks like either bacteria or sponge to me.
 
Ok was what it looked like on my phone. Looking closer I see it branches at both ends so my ID has to be wrong. Appologies

I hate getting the wrong answer, doubly hate giving the wrong one. At least in this case it was rather benign. No tank crashing possibility from my fast answer.
 
You may not need to get rid of it, but my rule of thumb is "if I have to question it, then take it out." Better to be safe than sorry.
 
Okay thanks I am not sure what it is but I am going to try to remove it or is there anything that will eat it
