Once again found something new. Hopefully the picture does it justice but it looks like some kind of white string that retracts and expands very quickly when I put the light on it. They are connected to something on my live rock.

Digitate hydroid. Not a good guy, they can sting corals. However I have some without issues
Yep after comparing pictures that’s definitely what they are. Is there any good way to get rid of them without hurting anything else in the tank? And when you say sting are we talking deadly? Or just annoying the corals? Not that I want either, just didn’t know to what severity we are talking about

Mostly they are not an issue, and just annoy corals. I have noticed a sting that injured a coral and when that happened I pulled the hydroid out. The coral quickly recovered and haven’t had any damage since. In the grand scheme of things they are not a big deal, just make sure they aren’t doing any damage and you’re good
