Are these just little pods of some sort? I have never seen a big cluster of anything like this before, tank has been running for years, no new sand, recently added mini max anemone but these definitly werent in the bag, i do have a healthy pod community on the glass somtimes that gets scraped, but this is the first time ive seen a group of them on this plant. Anyone take a guess what kind kd sand spec beats these are? Sorry, all i have are camera pictures from the phone.

They are very active little things, making Micro journeys all over the plant, and a little algae close by.

They definitely walk and look like tiny white beetles up close, I simply am just taken by surprise the numbers I see balled up on this plant, they must be small pods of some sort, can anyone maybe reference me a good pod identification chart if that exists.

Add a little lights and ornaments and you got a frosted xmas tree. lol
More came out after dark, that plant is infested with those pods. They are still on there this morning, although more have made it onto the glass. A few days ago I did a full tank cleaning and replaced all the pads in the filter, and new chemipure blue, so maybe the vitamin rich super clean water that was introduced with that water change and maintenance has influenced a christmas tree orgy.

Google Ostracod.
Thanks a lot for that info. That appears to be what they are, I knew they were some sort of small pod, but there isnt like a good reference on pod types to go off of. There is no fish that I have in this tank that would feed on pods so small, and they are definitly gravitating to just the plant I have, they must be eating any decaying bits of the plant and are having a bit of a boom in population. Thanks a lot for the help, I found an article on them and rhey appear to meet every identifying factor.
