Can anyone identify

Hi can anyone please help me identify this purple stuff,

and also tell me if this is a problem. It’s all over the tank but it hasn’t bothered any of the corals as of yet.

Is it hard or soft? If it's the latter than it might be Cyanobacteria. Just take a soft brush and remove what you can before your next water change.

It’s hard, most of it is purple and in some areas it’s dark brown.

The purple stuff is probably just Coralline algae. This does come in a wide variety of colors. The brown stuff might be Lobophora. (Brown wafer algae) While this stuff does plate over time, it doesn't start off like that.

I already have Coralline algae this is growing on top of the coralline that’s what has me worried I’m going to take another picture using a filter and post it. Thanks for the help in advance

Sure can. I've had pink, magenta, purple, maroon and black cherry that was so dark it almost looked black. And I've different colors/layers of coralline grown on top of one another.

If it's hard and takes a little effort to scrape off, more likely than not, it's coralline.
