Yes where it's attached to the bottom it tapers to fit in the hole snugly. Then at the top it has a hole drilled in so a screw holds the top piece in

Im still a little lost.
So the acrylic wand broke? Was it tapped on both ends?

Do you know what size tap? I actually have an 3/8th thick acrylic dowel. Just need to cut to 3” and tap both ends?

No . The top is held in with a screw the bottom was tapped in

It can't be welded it's not even long enough anymore. It was originally about 3 in now it's too short I tried to put a longer screw to hold it together but didn't work

Tapped to me means threaded for a screw. The bottom just compression fit?

So the size tap doesn’t matter?

No I don't have the piece that broke off but I was thinking when I first purchased this it broke. Same thing happened and I still have that piece so I could try to cut it and try to add the difference

if you wanted to attempt it yourself it wouldn’t be too hard. Just tapping the end would be tricky
