Can anyone see an issue with this fish stocking?

Currently have 2 false percs in 24G with lots of swimming space that live top left corner, only coming out for food.

My LFS has blue/green chromis and black gold chromis in stock. Can anyone see an issue with me adding 1 of each? I can’t see any point adding multiple blue/green as most people say they end up with one anyway and the gold are quite large fully grown so 1 is probably my limit.

If kept properly with only true chromis viridis they will not kill each other off I have 5 in my 60g. In any tank under a 55 however just get 1. I don't know what black and gold chromis you are referring to as there are a few different species of those. I woild only stick to one chromis species and pick a small goby for the last spot.

neon and clown gobies don't need sand as they are more rock dwellers. I have a clown goby uh a citron clown goby it does well. I think the black gold chromis upon getting big would kill a blue green chromis.

Thanks for the reply, I best give the chromis a miss then. Unfortunately still not interested in gobies. I want something that actively swims around but it seems like that doesn’t exist, especially with my smaller tank size. My clownfish are so boring!

You could try a firefish.

I don’t know if it’s due to COVID but fire fish and banggai cardinals are no longer available around here. In fact the stock list for saltwater fish at my LFS is very short now.

Hey if you’re looking for a neat swimming around fish, cherub or flameback angels are great! I would lean more towards a cherub for a tank that size (max length is 2 1/2”). I’ve got a cherub in my 20 gallon and it’s really helped my clowns come out of their shell . Group shots!

I like the look of that, found some in stock online so I’ll give it some thought, thank you.

Make sure you get the right dwarf angel a cherub works great but there are a few similar species.

Plus clown and neon gobies are rather active as are diamond watchman gobies. My clown goby eats from the surface and active swims around more than my clowns. My diamond goby is always sifting the sand. Most neon gobies I have seen behave similarly to my clown goby.
