So this is my tank. I currently have 1 mexican turbo, a teachus (and over a dozen babies), probably a dozen stomatella, and 3 normal turbo snails. I have a dwarf blue legged hermit, and 3 normal blue legged crabs. Can someone suggest what I can add to help the stage of maturing.

Depends, how old is the tank? If this is a case of the ugly stages no amount of crabs or snails will slow it down. The uglies is an over obundance in available realastate in which the most prolific life form will take over. In mature systems this is taken up by bacteria and encrusting algaes. In newer system it's just the fastest grower that takes over. Usually diatoms then gha ect.

Sound like you have an OK cuc already and its just time for manual algae management and water changes.

What you have in sounds fine. Maybe a conch of some kind for stirring the sand around?

I would get more snails. A variety of them will help. I like astreas and a few nassarius for the sand. Ceriths are also great.

Tangs will make the biggest impact but is your tank mature enough to keep them alive and thriving?
