Can anyone tell me what this is?

It doesn’t look like cyano, it doesn’t come off when i rub it vigorously it feels kind of soft like a sponge.

It looks more like plates, i was thinking it could be coralline algae that’s plating but I’m not 100%

It’s a specie of macro algae don’t recall the name of the top of my head.I think they sensitive to fresh water if you want to eradicate them, try a small piece first.
