Does anyone know if Bryopsis can lie dormant while out of the tank and dried out for an extended period of time? I am worried about putting dry rock in my new tank that was infested with Bryopsis in the past

Dunno but I had a piece been drying out for 6 or 7 weeks. Was gonna put it in the tank to see what happens. However the wife has just informed me she boiled it in a saucepan, to be safe, lol.

I have about 30lbs of dry rock from a tank that I shut down 2yrs ago it had a good bit of Bryopsis on it.

I want to just brush it off and put in the new scape today. But it makes me nervous.
