Can chemiclean make your water cloudy?

I dosed chemiclean 4 days ago. It wiped out 90% of the cyno ok and I did the 20% water change 48 hours later as you are meant to. But now my water is very cloudy and I can't use my skimmer as it just overflows all over the place. I have added carbon to try and clear this up. How long before I can use the skimmer again. I can't let it overflow and I don't want to do another water change as its a big tank and is wasting salt.

you should use skimmer, if i recall correctly its important to run skimmer to keep the water aerated
