Odd question for you clamnatics, Is it normal for a clam to change colors? We have one that has changed several times (light stimulated I think.). It's in our qt tank getting treated right now and it's added pink to its multitude of colors.

This is it.

Over the years, yea. But recently it went from ushio 14 k mogul to 20 double ended. 400w down to 250w respectively. But it also went from the bottom of a 180 to the top of a 40 breeder. Initially it was typical blue but it had white running lengthwise down the mantle. The white lines grew in size width wise then turned grey in our 75g. Bottom of the tank 400 14k ushio. When we moved the clam ended up about 6" higher in the tank, grey turned grey/green. Then I started overdriving the bulbs and it become translucent to an extent. Lowered it and went back to normal. Now that it is in the qt tank the grey/green is getting pink outlines.

I guess I just didn't realize clams changed colors that drastically.

I should say they are in treatment. We removed all but one of our clams to the QT and treated them all. The few that were affected are looking much better.
