My small clown died last night, but I also noticed that my larger clown had a large white spot on the tail fin. I couldn’t tell if it was ich, and I couldn’t get a good photo. The dot wasn’t very defined, and looked almost translucent. Could this be ich, and is my tank at risk?

What should I do with the tank? Will all of my fish die? My clown is acting normal, and is eating.

The spot is gone now, and I couldn’t get a good photo. It was 1 large dot on the tail fin that wasn’t very defined, and was almost translucent.

Can you provide a pic or two under white lighting to confirm what you have. I generally dont recommend anything until assessing what you have as it can be lympho, sand or other condition

With larger being female and often dominant, could have been aggression .

Ich is typically very small dots like table salt.

If you had a large white blotch I suspect something fungal.

You need to post a pix taken under white light so the fish medics can assess.

Maybe lymphocystis on the first clown without a pic? Doesn't sound like ich.

Aggression from the other clown seems likely, with it not eating and being thin.

What kind of clowns, and what's the tank size? Any other fish besides the clown in the tank?
