Can corals make your skimmer overflow?

My skimmer keeps randomly overflowing. I can't pin down the reason. I know some corals can release toxins, can that make a skimmer overflow?

Is it a newer set up. What kind of skimmer? Sometimes they just need to be broken in and dialed in.

Not new, Red Sea skimmer running fine for years.
