So fall is upon us and I have finished bringing in an entire deck filled with house plants for the winter. Unfortunately, this house faces North/South, so, lighting is very poor.

I have plenty of space for the plants in the Aquarium room, but I would need to incorporate grow lights to keep the plants healthy for the winter.

I only provide lights to the plants 5 hours per day. My tanks are on 10 hour schedule.

I worry that the plant light schedule will interfere with the tank schedule. My idea is to have the grow lights come on after the tank lights come on and turn off before the tank lights do.

Do you think everything can co-exist in the same room with this strategy?

Thank you,
Dom

Probably keep an eye on potential algae blooms but I imagine this would be negligible in terms of general tank happiness. Just my .02
