I have a slight dino outbreak like very slight it doesnt look bad but all of my corals are super stressed. All of my euphillia is closed up and I noticed one acro is starting to have rtn. Can dino cause this overnight? I've never seen this happen before. Could it be another underlying issue?

Temp 79
Salinity 1.026
Alk 8.4
Calcium 430
Nitrates <1
Phos <.01

This tank was perfectly fine last week the dino didn't show until like 4 days ago. I can't do an icp test either because I am closing on a house and my lender said not to pay for too much right now

Isnt an icp test like $40? I dont think that's the kind of purchase your lender was worried about.

I see the white area on the monti?, but the rest just look like they would at first light. What is exactly going on with them? I do not see too much from the pictures. Take some with more whites maybe?

It is my experience is that no dino will not cause what you are seeing.
I would look else were.

Its an acro. Just not branching yet. The acro has died mostly overnight and all euphillia won't open even after the light has been on for a long period

I don't know about overnight but they can take down a small frag, especially an acro, very fast depending on the the strain. They covered the corals in the brown dust and mucus , only to reattached hours later after being blown off.

Post in the dino thread to confirm you have dinos (if you have't done so already) and to get a start on eradicating them.

I have had them twice, the fist time it took a year for them to wipe on 80% of my corals and resulting in a a complete tear down of my tank. The second time I got ahead of it right away (just. slight dusting) and within two weeks no visible sings of them.

Its already on its way out. There is very little dino now.

Have you tracked your alk on daily basis at all? Nitrates could be higher. Any new additions? Any changes at all to system?

stay with it. They don't very totally go away.

Your parameters ( NO3 and PO4)are very low - prime conditions for dinos and less than good for corals

If you can get these closer to 5ppm NO3 and 0.1ppm PO4. This will swing the balance away from the dinos and in favor of their competition and your corals. But do this i. the dino thread you have guidance how to do this correctly and then to return to healthy long term numbers

No change alk is constant. I removed my skimmer because its always given me nutrient issues. Only odd thing I just now noticed is a weird white bacteria on a side panel

This bacteria I noticed isn't causing a ph drop i just tested and its 7.8 (my ph has been this for about a year steady)

How do you know it is bacteria and what panel are you referring to? Confused face!

Do you feed the corals?

Side glass. I'm kind of assuming its bacteria because it's white, fluffy and comes off super easy.
And I feed aminos and roids 2x a week. I have paused since noticing dino

It could be just the changes in the tank the corals are reacting too. The fight against the dinos. They look like they are still out, just not fully. Keep an eye on them. If need be, do a medicated dip. Other than that one acro, the euphyllias do not look that bad.

Im assuming this acro was weak in the first place. It was a rescue that was browned out and never really grew much like my others.

watch this regarding reef roids, especially given you low nutrients

I've seen this before. Interesting video. I would have normally kept feeding roids to help raise nutrients however I was told to stop because it could have aminos that fuel dino. That I am not sure if I beleive or not but I paused anyway. I can start feeding reef roids again if need be

Is this a 20 gallon AIO? If so stick a Aquashield UV and be done with it.
