Can dosing 2-part with no water changes affect salinity?

I dose 1.8 DKH a day in my 85G system. I notice a salinity rise if I don't keep an eye on it.

I just mix my weekly WC to 1.024/5 when needed.

My alk consumption is 1.8 dkh/day. How long does it take for salinity to rise?

I used all-for-reef until recently and just made the switch to ESV 2-part.

So I guess this person had to let the tank go for a long time then?

Not that long. One year at 1.1 dKH per day will raise salinity from 35 ppt to about 46 ppt.

Or he's just dosing a lot.

Randy's numbers are at 1dkh/day. That's a pretty normal for a mixed reef, or newer tank - but SPS tanks can be way higher. There are people dosing 4+ dkh per day.

At 4dkh/day with 2-part, you have to actively manage salinity.

Hello Guys!!! I don't do water changes on my 240g mixed reef and I'm pleased with it, but it's consuming a lot of sodium bicarbonate solution -> Balling light -> Dosing 395ml every day... = 32g Sodium Bicarbonate... to maintain 8dKh.
*(solution concentration 500g every 6.000ml)

As I can check on ICP tests my salinity increases during the year...

If I dose Kalkwasser will it reduce this salinity-increasing issue?
What is the ration Bicarbonate X Calcium in Kalkwasser?

Kalkwasser does not cause a salinity rise, but your other dosing method will.
