I had watched a short documentary on Typhoid Mary and how she passed the disease on to so many others without being affected at all. So I was wondering if the same thing could happen with fish. For example: quarantine a fish for 2 months, no symptoms, but then when you add that fish to your tank, the other fish get sick.

Is it possible for fish to be a carrier of a disease and not have any symptoms?

Yes very possible. This is often how velvet and ich get transferred to a display despite QT. Of course, if you prophylactically treat for ich, velvet and flukes you won't have to worry about this much at all.... well, assuming you also QT your inverts and corals.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
