Can hydroids

Survive outside of water? I have this style of hydroids in one of my tanks. I took out the nicer pieces of rock and let them dry out. Do they have some mechanism for survival outside or water?

This ones are highly invasive, there’s a few threads on here on how to use febenzadole to get rid of them.
