Can I dip corals in peroxide for algae removal?

Hello everyone. I have a bunch of zoa frags and goni frags that have some algae growth on them. Before I glue them down, I was wondering if I should dip in peroxide to remove it. I have never done it before, if anyone with experience can explain the details, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Zoa you can dip in peroxide. I don't know about goni but I would think not

Do you actually see algae on the goniopora? Usually you just scrub that off with a toothbrush on the frag plug and not bother the coral. But, a 1/10 mix is rather safe under 10 minutes. 1 part peroxide 10 parts saltwater.

You can use a small amount on the frag plug using a syringe or wet q tip and rinse off frag in bowl with tank water.

There's a little bit of film on the goni, looks more like a bacteria slime than algae, but I can definitely see little strands of fine hair algae. I will use a syringe and q-tip and brush it off with toothbrush. Thanks for the feedback!

There is a guideline by Justin Credable for what strength of dip corals can tolerate. Zoas can tolerate the highest strength. I use 2.5:1 for zoas. If the zoas are very slow to open after the dip it seems like the cleaned surface makes a very good substrate for the algae to start on again.
