I'm about to install a water holding tank for my new ATO unit. My RO/DI unit is around 15' away in the garage..Can I run a pipe from my RO/DI direct to the holding tank to keep it topped off.. It would have to run vertical for around 5 feet then 15' through the roof space then down to the holding tank on the floor under my DT.. Not sure if it will push high enough to get into the roof space or not.. Has anyone tried this ?

You could do that with a spectrapure peristaltic pump. it's not recommended to have it turned on all the time though.

It should you water has about 60 lbs of preshure. It should easily make that run.

I would also agree that a ATO with and endless source of water. I know I have forgot things, sensors have been stuck, and thing will fail. Do you really want it to fail with an endless source of water in your house.

Not only that but you would also have to deal with tds creep which would shorten the life of the membrane.

Sure you can. The additional few feet of head shouldn't affect anything. You will need an ASOV on the RO/DI unit and either a float valve or float switches and a solenoid valve which I much prefer and use myself.
My Spectrapure RO/DI is in my climate controlled garage 35 feet from my reef. The RO/DI pumps into a 23 gallon Rubbermaid ATO storage can which in my case is only about 10 feet away and controlled by the Spectrapure float switch controller. From there I have a 1/4" line through the wall, under the kitchen base cabinets, behind the baseboard molding and into my stand where the Spectrapure UPLC-II level controller is located which maintains the level in the sump. It could be simpler but I like what I have and it has never been an issue in 9 years use.
