Can I feed a dead crab to bta?

I have a emerald crab that died she’s pretty tiny and my bta is huge ..,was jw if I can make it into a snack instead of the garbage or is the shell hard for them ?

Well he took it but this morning I found the crab right below it so I guess that wasn’t for him …maybe they can’t penetrate the shell? He acted like he ate it closer right up
