I just came out of a 3 day total blackout. After an hour no signs of dinos. NO3 is 5 on Salifert and Nyos. PO4 is .06 on Hanna. This stuff is all over my rocks.

Looks like chrysophytes

I mixture of dead/dying algae, and maybe some filamentous bacteria taking advantage of the situation, IMO.
The spiky triangles are sponge spicules.
The colorless filaments in mass look too low in pigment to be cyano, but I'm guessing they are a bacteria growing on the dying food source.

Thanks for the reply. A couple of people have told me they see diatoms but I don't. Is there anything I should do get rid of it? Or is it just a matter of waiting.

I would vacuum out any dead or dying algae material.
