I haven’t posted pictures of my tank in a long time. Mainly because it just looked so blank and uninteresting (except to me). But now, I want opinions. Please feel free....

Btw, I didn’t post this in the photography forum because I know I need to work in my photography skills. I’m mainly interested in opinions on the tank. And yes, I know the glass isn’t spotless!

Duncan.. started out as two heads now there’s too many to count.

A halfway decent picture of my JF Jack-O-Lantern. It’s just starting to encrust.

I have more that I’ll post later. Can y’all tell me what you think? I’m kinda embarrassed cause some of you guys have amazing tanks.

Looking good!
Thank you! Is there anything that you think could be better? I’m not that great at aquaculture and now there are too many corals to move stuff around. But I can try if you’ve got suggestions.

It looks good :) don’t be embarrassed! If your coral isn’t dying then there’s nothing to be embarrassed about :p
Lordy, I hope I’m past that! Although I’ve lost the occasional coral fo no apparent reason. Not recently though. The only thing I lost was a frag that got lost in the rock work.

Haha it happens. Keep up the good work! It clearly pays off :)

Thank you! I’m always in awe of those immaculate tanks with beautiful clear water but I’m raising a two year old granddaughter and really don’t have time to do all that. I make excuses by saying I like the “wild and woolly look” which is kinda true. I’ve never seen a clean reef in the wild! I like coralline algae on the glass and I like to glue stuff to the walls. My clowns like to dig up the sand. As soon as I fix it Java slings it around again. I probably have too much water moving by most standards (gyre, mp60, Tunze stream, and return pump) but I grew up on the ocean and my tank doesn’t move near as much water as occurs naturally.

It’s always nice to see a tank with a bit of maturity that’s not fragged to death. Looks great!
Thanks! It’s getting there. So many of my frags didn’t grow for a looooong time until I started dosing Red Sea Colors. Before I knew it, the growth of my corals took off. I believe in that stuff whole heartedly. I eventually got test kits for iron, iodine, and potassium so as not to ruin a good thing.

The only thing I might try is to diffuse the light so it doesn't have the color banding and put some lower light stuff on the bottom left rock. Other than that, I would just let it fill in. It's off to a great start!
