I am looking to get some green chromis. From what I have read they are kind of aggressive against each other. I only have room for 3 maybe 4 max. Should I only get one? or will 3-4 be ok or will they just kill each other until I only have one left

I had 3 at one point and ended up with one dominant one. Not sure if that always happens but it did for me.

I keep 3 Chromis, no issues. Feeding them frequently will determine success more so than getting a specific number.

I had 3 and lost the most dominant due to aggression from the other two oddly, even with 3-5 small feedings a day. Though it seems very hit and miss, I've noticed less fighting since my pod population exploded, I think the constant availability of natural food as helped.

I've had three for over a year. They bicker back-and-forth but no problems as of yet.

Ok! I feed a lot to help keep my nitrates above zero so I may pick a few up and give it a try.
I knew it would be hit or miss but seems like some of you guys are having success.

I bought three at once and over the course of several weeks the smallest (and least aggressive of the three) disappeared. Natural selection?

Probably, in my case I saw the one I lost "go to bed" into the rocks the last night I saw it. It wasn't eating that night either. Then it was gone
