Can I just glue this impellar back together?

I really don't want to drop $50 on a new one right now. What do you guys think? Any suggestions on glue?

It would need to be epoxy if you were to do it. It would need to be marine grade and allowed to cure for the full period of time suggested. Glue would allow for water to enter and cause the magnet to swell and leech nasties into your tank.

any suggestions on where to grab that epoxy? it doesn't look like the magnet is exposed here? isnt that stainless steel?
 
I would buy it, impellers need to sit very precisely in order to operate correctly. $50 isn't not much considering what it is for.

I have no idea what the impeller is made of, but if it had to be done, marine epoxy can be had a any big name hardware store and it would tide you over till you can get a new one, as a new one will be needed. What you have listed will work and can also be had at any parts store or bix box hardware store as well. Luckily it looks like you have enough of the ceramic shaft to use as a guide and the outer tube looks OK, so it should line up pretty close . Still this would be a temporary fix and not permanent.
 
Because the shaft is broken, I'd say no. Putting it back together will likely lead to vibrations that will rattle itself back apart and potentially cause other issues for the motor block.

Call Vertex for the impeller. I had to buy one a while back for a tank I take care of for a friend and it was much cheaper from them then online. As for a pump, I think they are sicce pumps, but custom to the skimmer. I know we could not find a pump a year ago to fit, at least with our google foo anyways lol. Called vertex and got the impeller in a few days.

That's looking like its the only option at this point. $70 is through them...

Old thread, but I'm adding information as I know several people are searching for impeller replacements for the Vertex Omega 150 (since Vertex is out of business).

I was told from a Sicce USA representative that the Sicce PSK 1000 impeller would work as a replacement impeller for the Vertex Omega 150 skimmer. I purchased the part today and can confirm it fits but have not had a chance to run the pump yet. Note, the PSK 1000 design regarding the wheel part is different than the original impeller but that is basically just a way to break up air into small bubbles (and I suspect the newer design my be better than the older impeller design in that regards).
