Can I keep an eel in a round tank?

Really want to keep a snowflake eel, but did some research online and said that eels are bottom feeders and would need hiding. Does a round tank provide enough hiding or is that a bad idea for the eel? I am set on a round circular tank.

I think a round tank would be great, however it’s the size of the tank that matters, and how much space the eel has to move

Yeah, I think the size is important as they get up to 2 feet long. Based off of liveaquaria I don't think it's accurate to say they are a bottom feeder. I think they are an opportunistic feeder. Liveaquaria even says you can teach them to hand feed. By hand feed I think they mean with feeding tongs.
