Can i leave nas snails in sump?

I am planning rescape of my rocks and want to get my snails out of the dt to prevent any crushing of snails. The sump has nothing it (completely bare). Can i store them in the sump with a piece of rock for a few days?

they probably won't like it but they will be okay as long as they get food, you might want to put a little of whatever you feed in there for them but it should be good.

I have a couple snails in my sump to help clean. Been down there for several months with no problem
