I have a 120g with an Apex classic.
I wonder If I can link to tanks with one Apex.
I do have another tank running now, and I would like to run the apex too.
What do I need to buy do this? Is it cheaper to do this, or its better to buy another apex and not link both together?

Yes you can do it. Of course you will need multiples of everything
Just remember a naming convention so you know which tank is which

I run 3 tanks with 1 apex. You will need a PM1 module for each tank with any probes you plan to use, an EB module, and a long enough cable to connect it. The cable will need to be just a cable with no booster or anything. I get my cables from USB firewire. they have several lengths available or will make a custom length.

I was kinda wondering the same thing but My tanks are about 50 feet apart s and I figured it would not work running an aquabus cable that far to connect them so I just bought another one

I wish this could be dine with a wifi.... I cant pass an aquabus cabe from one tank to another. I guess Im gonna have to buy another Apex

How do you do updates and calibrate PH probe on additional tank?

How do you calibrate PH probe and update PM1 on additional tank?

When you have a additional tank it’s really no different
But what I would suggest doing ( to my knowledge this is how you do it) is when giving names make sure you know to name the probes and so on a name to the tank such as tank2_ph
Or tank2_Tmp and so on
Hope this helps

You just have to use advanced control on the second tank for heater. Screen shot

My Apex Light is running the heating and the top-up on four separate systems. It also handles the RODI top-up for my make-up water, complete with a automated flush of the RO membrane.

I run 3 systems, my poker table, and my AWC. They are awesome!!! All you need is a regular USB cable, and an outlet to power it.
