Can I mix bubble tip anemones

You will be fine. I have kept multiple anemones together. Also had a friend that had red and green in a 30 cube for years without issue

I have a mixed Nano full of Nems. Rose, greens a Ritteri that split and a mini maxi that’s more maxi than mini .....A breeding pair of mixed clowns love it in there ....
never had any problems ..
Are they all splits from the same one Or were some added from different strains?
I love your tank btw. Lol!! Awesome.

At this point I have 3 BTA varities that seam to be getting along fine for over a year. The rainbow on the far left is easly 12-14" across.

I have never mixed, but I remember watching a YT on Anemone Care by Bob Fenner and he said when introducing anemone's, to avoid issues, to add a little water from one tank to another to start the introduction process and gradually increase the amount before putting them together into the tank. This will help avoid chemical welfare issues. Just type in "Bob Fenner MACNA BRS" and it should pop up. About 45 minutes of really great information on how to care for them.

You should have no issues mixing RBTA and greens.
This makes me feel better. I just started my 1st reef tank a little over a year ago and have rose bubble tip anemones in the tank. My wife knows nothing about the tank and was trying to do something nice for me and ended up ordering a green snow globe bubble tip anemone. When she told me I turned white. I thought it was going to be a big problem.

I have a green, multiple rainbows, ultra rainbows and ECC Warp Drive BTAs in a 10g tank. No issues for a year now. One thing I do is run about double the carbon needed for my tank size and rotate/replace it often. I have no plans to add any more strains into the 10g, but I'm in the process of setting up a bigger tank to move everything into. When that happens, I may try my luck a bit. :D

I know this post is old but I wanted to add to it. I Just added a green Bubble tip Anemone that I got from my local fish store (Petco) 04/08/23. It was bleach white with a hint of green. Very beautiful looking (wish this wasn’t because it’s unhealthy). When I put him in the tank he immediately went to the long tentacle anemone, with fanning water I managed to get him away (I thought they would fight). Went to bed, and when I woke up he was wedged between the clay fixtures my sister made for my tank. They are living side by side with the clowns and cardinals swimming through them.

I hope I can have this guy recover, we shall see. Yes I’m new to the salt water side.

One of my rainbows would pretty much fill your ten gallon.

old thread, but I’m curious, has anyone gotten a second nem of the same color but from a different source? It seems strange that it would just be a variety issue and not a new nem/different genetics/individual issue. Seems like most tank are full of clones so I wonder if it’s more that it’s a different animal in the same species and not a clone rather than it’s a different color.

I've had 2 types mixed going on about 5 years. Just purchased 2 additional colors last night. Hopefully it won't be an issue.

What’s your setup like? Do you use carbon?

What's interesting to me is that in my experience, it's not mixing different species that causes problems, it's mixing the same species--in all cases different color morphs of BTAs. I have a tank with two gigantea, two magnifica, and two CSBs and they're all fine. I do run carbon but I don't change it as frequently as I should.
