Can I mount a BRS doser like this

So I just picked up a BRS doser for dosing Reef Energy AB+ and was trying to find a place to put doser to minimize the amount of food in the dosing line. I came up with this idea to mount on top so there will be minimal food in line. Doser will dump food right above return. Will this work with the way the doser is positioned. Still have to run plug back into Apex.
Didn’t realize how slooooow this doser is so the less line the better.

i think you could hang it anyway you want.. the pump holds a vacuum so nothing is going to drip out other than what you programmed. That said, the front mechanism (can remember the name).. needs to be replaced every 6-12 months ($30).
