2-3x, or will it kill the fish? How about prime? I have seen people overdosing prime x5, would it suffocate the fish? Thanks.

What are trying to accomplish with these chemicals?
Lower ammonia and nitrates i removed the sand and by disturbing it so much it rose my nitrates, is an empty 125 with copper power treating ich, theres two-3 weeks left, it lowered my ammonia by .2 but the nitrates are like 120-130ppm

Gotcha. I would be skeptical about the effectiveness of these products removing ammonia and I am pretty sure the nitrate removal claim is complete bull.

Did you check you nitrites by the way? The nitrate test goes haywire if there is a little bit of nitrite present. Nitrite is likely since you removed the sand bed where nitrifying bacteria lived. Does the copper treatment chemical contain ammonia?

No nitrite, its copper power, can i overdose prime though? People have by 5x with an aerator and that DID lower my ammonia but I overdosed it a lot in my 55 with a clownfish and some zoas, could chaeto survive copper power? At least for 24 hours? That way it can remove the remaining 120 nitrates or some of it, my sailfin tang is growing fin rot

Just do water changes.
Only use prime, amquel, etc in dire emergencies when you need to use tap water (i.e. when you need to remove chlorine)

If Amquel removes chlorine, the ammonia test results are not to be trusted. Dechlorinators interfere with ammonia tests. I am pretty sure copper is an algecide, but Cheato is not going to do much to 120 ppm nitrate in 24 hours.

To lower Ammonia and Nitrate quickly you do water changes.

Chemicals are not likely to help.

Amquel is the hydroxymethanesulfonate like ChlorAm-X.
If ammonia is actually a concern, then it should be controlled other ways as noted earlier.
