Can I plumb tank without bulkheads?

I bought a tank without bulkheads but came with all the other plumbing and purchased all new plumbing only to find out the 1” and 1/2” bulkheads are too big.

You need bulkheads. The bulkheads you bought are too big for the holes in your tank? What diameter are the holes in the tank?

The middle hole is roughly 1.6” and other two are 1”.

I was thinking about redrilling the holes to make them fit but the width of the bulkheads won’t fit inside the overflow.

What brand tank do you have? Some use the Chinese sizes of fittings... There are adapters to go from that size bulkhead to a Standard size.

Guy I purchased it from said it was a Cadlights. It’s 36x18x18.
Where can I purchase those items? This is my first time plumbing ever

Cadlights and red sea have their own sizes you need to order directly from them

Yw. Brs and marine depot I believe both sell adapters so you can convert to regular sizes

The adapters would be used in place of the bulkheads?

No with them, that way you can use whatever you want but after the bulkheads

Which bulkheads would I use for the 1” return holes? The 1/2” bulkheads won’t even fit in there

I found this photo on the Cadlights website and it’s exactly how my plumbing looks. I guess they don’t use bulkheads...

I wouldn’t recommend plumbing without bulkheads . Use the pvc not abs ones.

Yeah I was confused because of the bulkheads that Cadlights uses compared to the ones that you see on ever other tank.
