I have a green long polype goniopora frag in my nano tank. I have had him for a week, and today I just moved him in a cave in my tank. It's about 1/3 as bright in there, so I was wondering if you think that would be enough light for him. I feed him and the whole tank reef snow everyday, and goniopora rely on food(more than most corals) a lot instead of eating the alge that grows inside of them. Really my question is, how much light do they really need?

I wouldn't put a goniopora in a cave, they require moderate lighting, so depending on how powerful your lights are and how high you have them turned up, this could be anywhere from the bottom, to the middle of the tank.
