Can I put a mirror in my tank?

So I have a BTA that found its happy place... on the back side of a rock. I can’t see him. I have a hard time feeding him. I don’t know if he’s doing okay, happy, sick, dead. I’d hate to move him as currently he seems to really like his spot. And I just think if I move him he’ll just move back. So my thought was maybe I could put a mirror in the tank so I can; 1) enjoy him and 2) make sure he’s doing okay. My question is can I put a mirror in my tank long term or is that a terrible idea?

Unless that silver coating is toxic I can't think of any reason against it; if all it's composed of is plastic, glass and whatever that coating is..... if its reflecting down it should create any hotspots, but your're gonna be cleaning it a lot I'd guess....

There are various oxides and compounds within a mirror. I would not hence the brilliant concept.
Below is a safer option that could be rinsed (inspection mirror)- rinse in ro when done

I agree i wouldnt permanently use a mirror due to metals
