Hi their, can i put in a canister that i have sitting (eheim 2215) some Seachem di nitrate some phosphate and some carbon all together in bags? Is it a good idea? I've been struggling with No3 over 50 on salifert test thanks!

I would put each in separate bags but I don't see why not. There is not functional difference between a reactor and a canister filter.

Well....
The only issue is flow rates... GFO needs to be fluidized and the others don't.. I assume you were going to use GFO to midegate phosphates..
If you have nitrates you need to do water changes to get them in check, then figure out why you are getting them to begin with...

Thanks guys, my nitrates must be from live rock leaking got it second hand, nothing i can do now about that sould have known better always learning the hard way

I doubt that. likely it is some other source. are you skimming? do you have an algae refugium, algal turf scrubber? what are you doing for nitrate reduction?

I do use a skimmer hang on (deltec mc600) unfortunately i dont have a sump, so im using the canister with Seachem di nitrate about a week now, nitrates were 100 and dropped to 50, i do about every week or sometime 10 days water change 25L my tank is 260L and I've been dealing with 3 issues for some months now 1. High ph 8,7 rock stable, 2. High nitrates fortunately dropped in half. 3. Some cyno bact. Red hair alge in live rock tank has been running around 6 months now step by step things are coming around

Sounds like you have a handle on it. Likely it's just crud built up from neglect by the person that sold it to you. it'll get used up and you'll get a handle on it.

Hope everything goes well, thanks for your help

Just keep at it with maintenance and good husbandry. Nothing good happend fast and slow can be much slower than you would like. take heart though, as long as you keep doing the right things, you will eventually succeed .
