my clown fish were laying eggs in my display and i could never find any of the babys even the night that they hatch so i move the clowns to my frag tank and i was doing a water change and the water was getting down close to the pot that they hang out in and they started goin nuts so i spun the pot and is loaded with eggs my question is can i take the pot out of the frag tank (keeping it in water the whole time) and put it in another tank i have setup for the fry and just keep an airstone on the eggs will they still hatch
thankx

Yes you can but it is not that easy if you want them to live and I am no help! There are plenty of experts here though.

yes you can but there is more to it

you need a feed for them and also a separate tank.

best bet is to get joyce wilkersons book and start reading
become prepared for some fun and frustration

i have the live rotafiers and i seprete tank i was just woundering if i can take them out and put them in the tank so this way i dont have to try and catch them

the only downside is you run the risk of an egg fouling and then infecting the rest of the batch. Why not keep the clowns there until the 8th day or so and then remove the pot? this way you enhance the chances and the nest is "unmaintained" for the least amt of time.

btw i've always just scooped the fry out of my 120 display...on a good night i'd get 100 plus fry. some people also use a weak siphon to just siphon the fry out. turning off the pumps and a good flashlight work wonders.

Good luck, dedication, patients and the ability to try, try, try again. It can be done but takes a little practice. I started with bangai's.
