Hello.

I started a tank about 2 months ago. And I used about half bottle for the cycle of that tank, and didn't keep the rest refrigerated.
Now I am starting an office tank. Is it ok to use the half bottle that has been opened? or is it safer to just buy a new bottle?

Thanks

You have nothing to lose

When you click the link is says "continued use recommended" in so many words.

Meaning it's meant for shelf life.

If it didn't come refrigerated either I imagine it doesn't need it.

I think the only one that does is Fritz?

But Fritz also gets results per @Dr. Reef 's article

there are many products out in the market and i tested 9 of then over 2 yrs study posted here on r2r.
All of them were shelf stable except Fritz turbo start 900 which is sold refregerated and needs to stay cooled in a fridge for its entire life of 6 months to 1 yr.
Remaining products were "stay cool" products and normally have a shelf life of 1 year.
I tested Fritz Turbo Start 900 (refridgerated) and left is in my Oklahoma garage with temps reaching 120F. It continued to cycle tanks even upto 3 months and then quit. Each time as days went by the cycling speed got slower and slower and slower and eventually at 3 months mark the liquid turned from pink to black and stunk like sewer.
In OP's case if you left the bottle in cool place like in your house with temp control all year long i dont expect anything wrong using that bacteria.
I expect its performance to be slower than normal as bacteria will be repairing itself first before cycling the tank. Worse case if all bacteria is dead then you are just duming a dose of dead organic matter (ammonia) in the tank with will kick start the cycled anyways.
