Can I rinse brs ro sediment filter?

so my sediment filter turns red pretty fast. About 100 gallons worth of good water.

It turns a red color from I'm Assuming all the crap it catches. I have very hard water where I live.

Can I just take the filter out and rinse it with a hose and use for longer before having to completely replace it?

Chances are you wouldn’t get much out of it due to the density of it. What is your tds going in?

It says 15 average. I feel like sometimes there are spurts of really dirty water tho. I've seen the water appear darker at times while using the faucet

It's quite hard to clear those. You have to blow it from the inside. You may want to add a second one. It's a prettt cheap mod. I have even added a sediment filter to my house before. That's quite inexpensive.

Also color isn't necessarily an indication that the sediment filter is exhausted. The test is pressure drop across that filter. If you have a pressure gauge, put it after the sediment filter when new, and just watch for the pressure to decrease. Are you sure your tds meter says 15 going in? That's extremely low...
