Hello I have a 30 gallon tank with a hydra 26. I really love how my tank looks with the blues on. Can i keep blues on all day or do I need to have some time for daylight lights on?

Sure is the basic answer. There are a couple of sellers, Jason Fox comes to mind that run almost exclusively Blue lighting. Depending on what corals you have, SOME may require a broader spectrum, but I say go for it.

Alot Corals tend to do better with blues anyway. The reason for that is blue light has a higher frequency and higher energy that penetrates water better. Coral has adapted to that and use blue light to grow in the wild and do well with blue light in tanks

It depends on how broad (across the spectrum) the blues are

This is from a diffent led but the points you need to hit are in the right place.

The Sb you pretty much can.

You can run only blues, but I have found running a light cycle with normal light really makes the coral pop when the blues only kick on. I currently have a 10 hr light cycle. Blues come on for 2 hrs in morning then metal halides kick on for 4 hrs with blues then blues only for the last 4 hrs. I’m typically gone for work when the daylight cycle kicks on so I get to enjoy a glowing tank every night

This is one of the things I love about this forum. I had this exact question today and found it already answered!
Thanks!

I saw a thread a long time ago on how blue lights hurt people's eyes when they're really close and look at it for a long time. Then the discussion on if fish eyes get hurt to-

I run all my blues on my LEDs at 75% and my whites at 0% from 8 am to 9pm and all 4 of the ATI Blue Plus 60” T5’s from 1100 am to 7 pm and everything is growing great. After watching the video of Jason Fox talking about his lighting and running only blues I tried it out as good lord look at his beautiful corals. I happy I did as it sure helped my corals out.
