Hi, I have a redsea reefled 90. I turned it on today for the first time above the aquarium. I noticed from outside that all the windows at my appartment emit a lot of purple light when its dark outside. Looks a bit strange and its just too much purple light coming from the windows. Its dark at 17.00 here until end of winter. And I dont want my appartment to look like the red light districts next to the other appartments.
The problem is that I'm usually awake at night because of my work situation. I go to sleep at around 04.00 in the morning but I dont want to run the photoperiod during that time.
So can I use the following light schedule on my reefled?:
Start photoperiod:
09.00 (AM)
End photoperiod after 11 hours:
20.00
Start moonlights:
20.00
End moonlights after 7 hours
03.00 (AM)
Note:
I will run the moonlights on max 20% from the reefbeat app and let it reduce intensity to 0% over a period of the last 4 hours of moonperiod. And also use "lunarcycle" in the reefbeat app so its only at maximum intensity (which is 20%) once a month.
I really want to enjoy the corals and fish during the night.... So I hope the moonlights are a good solution
Any advice?
