can I save the acros, if so how?

when the new frags show signs of wanting needing more light i will move them, or in 2 weeks time what ever comes first.
After i move them to higher light around 150 par middle back frag rack, they will sit there for about 2 weeks, if all goes well they will then be dipped and remove frag plugs, then moved to the sps tank and put low in the tank.

They are in my LPS non Acro SPS mixed reef, so if they bring in acro eating nasties, Just dip and move acros to QT and let nasties starve to death.

New batch of frags top pic, floated for 2 hours then acclamated no dip. Looking fine.
Bottom is of the poor acros I nearly killed by temp shocking them.
Par not the problem.

That's good you figured it out... I just got a box of frags today. That were all ice cold. I'm in Jersey and they came from florida. The water was 50° thank god they were just zoas so they bounced back. If they were acros they would have been toast

I float bag in tank or sump to temp. Acclimate. Then I drip acclimate... after a few days I take them out then dip and inspection for pest. I have had better success doing this it doesn't seem to stress coral out. I don't QT corals and have never had any problems. QT corals probably would be the BEST
But this works for me IMO.

Ok, so update. Corals are looking good. They have been on the frag rack in the back for about 2 weeks now. Believe it or not the pink lemonade is going to make it. Turning green now.
So looks like low light and move slow was the trick, that and an established tank and aminos from BW.

Great update!

In a mature system with steady parameters our sticks can overcome some adversity. Now that we are pretty much in winter mode, sticks will be coming with heat packs.

Time to start ordering more!
