Can i see your Nikon D40 pictures?

As always super impatient. I have 0 patience as that virtue does not reside here!

I have one coming and got the 200 lens.
Wanted the macro but is it neccessary?
Any pointers? Tips?

By all means please post some pix so I can pick your brains please.

a really low low F stop is critical to taking fast shutter, or low light shots. A 100mm ~f2 macro or a 300MM telescoping lens with 30-40mm extension tubes will give you much more options.

I shoot on an old Canon Ti1 rebel, and use either a 100mm F2.8 macro, or a 300mm F4.5 with 34mm extension tubes. The telescoping lense is better for corals that a deeper in the tank, and the macro is better when i can get close, or when lights are dimming in the evening.

Ok so I received camera today. Missed out on the macro lens but do have the 55 and 200 lens.
Only looking to take closeups with good quality. Totally lost as to where to start!
Any baby step pointers?
