ugh, I love that little guy but he’s ticking me off. It took me awhile to figure out, but he really doesn’t like my new leather. My poor leather has been kicked off the rock I wanted him on too many times.
Silly question but will the damsel ever allow me to put things where I want?

Also, nothing seems to flourish on top of the rocks. Any suggestions on what you think will enjoy higher light in the way of soft corals?

Damsels are jerks but it's usually to other fish. Crabs are usually the ones kicking frags off rocks. What light are you running? Softies usually like lower light. Looks like it might be a strip light similar to a Current USA light, in which case as long as it's not cranked, softies should do well just about anywhere in the tank

I’m not quite sure how to do that. To be honest, I hadn’t even thought of it. I’ll have to do some research.

Try not to get glue on the coral flesh but take a nickel size dab of super glue gel (I'm assuming a 1 to 2" frag) to the plug or substrate it's attached to and hold it on the rock for a good 60 to 90 seconds to let it set. YouTube some frag mounting videos to get an idea

I’m not sure on the lights, they are included what the heck the Fluval Evo, they are not customizable.

I will check out YouTube. Will the damsel beat him up if I put him where I want?

Honestly other than a hearty fish to put by itself in a nano-reef, I don't know why people even put regular damsels in their tanks. They are somewhat colorful, active and cheap but terrible tank mates.

I have a blue damsel in my tank, and he is king. Even though he is the smallest fish in there, and I have some pretty big fish. Him and my dottyback are mortal enemies.

But he has a great personality and I like him.

On the whole, it might be better to leave the coral loose and glue down the damsel...

Thanks for the chuckle

My guy likes my blenny and that’s about it.

Rubber band, your leather, to a rock :)

Lol...that’s exactly what I did.....let’s see how long it lasts.

I read the thread on here about fragging leathers. I love this forum.
